I believe in the magic of storytelling........................
........But - this magic is not based on anything fey and pretentious;
it is based on solid down to earth craftsmanship. When encouraging people
to tell stories themselves, when establishing the link between the spoken
word and the written word, both as a teacher as well as a storyteller,
I am practical and pragmatic."
“Accompanying his words with the haunting lilt of wooden pipes, there
was at one point a distinct resemblance to Hamelin’s Pied Piper.”
"My
style is based on building a rapport with the listeners; discussion
and communication are integral."
"I love traditional stories and feel that I'm
just a link in a chain stretching from the past to the future. "
He brings his story box which contains a variety of artefacts and
musical instruments which help enliven the session and if required these
stories can be supported by various creative activities. His aim is
always to encourage the participants to tell stories, to recognise and
develop their own abilities."
